Narrative:

I would like to acknowledge Ptl. James Riehl for his efforts this month. Ptl. Riehl has done excellent work this month after acquiring a very heavy case load. He has been very timely in completing his cases which has resulted in a large amount of arrests for criminal activity. At 1:30am Ptl. Riehl observed a vehicle beginning operated with an expired registration and knew the operator was under suspension. When attempting to stop the vehicle it fled. Upon stopping the vehicle he learned the vehicle had just been involved in a Burglary at Earth Waste Management in Castleton. Based on his actions this led to solving the burglary and arrest of the alleged Burglary suspect.

Also during the Month of July Castleton Police Dept has moved into our Police Station. The transition was not an issue and everyone is up and running.

Part Time Officer James Gamble is beginning his 5th year with the Town.
